The Big Nerd Ranch Hosts PHP 5 Bootcamp

Skip | 30 October, 2005 12:34

The Big Nerd Ranch announced the PHP 5 Bootcamp, set for January 30th through February 3rd, 2006 in a retreat setting near Atlanta, GA. The PHP 5 Bootcamp instructor is Mark Fenoglio. It will offer five days of intensive class covering the ins and outs of PHP 5 development.

The PHP 5 Bootcamp takes place at the Historic Banning Mills. Topics will include developing mastery in using PHP to build modular websites and applications, understanding how PHP complements other web technologies such as CSS, XML and PDF, managing users and implementing rights hierarchies, and creating web services.

The course is geared toward developers and project managers already familiar with scripting in HTML, WYSIWYG (what-you-see-is-what-you-get) experts looking to break out of template-based web development, and veteran scripting developers seeking inclusion of PHP into their skill-set. The classroom will be configured with a high speed T-1 Internet connection, and all classroom computers are networked for Internet access. Students have access to a G4 cube or iMac with 300MB of RAM and an LCD monitor.
