Where's Dave?

Skip | 08 January, 2005 13:51

We have Dave tied up, locked in a dark room with limited food.....
He's busy working on a special project.

He'll be blogging soon!

Meanwhile, I just had to share this one piece of amazing wisdom of learned experience I've had:

Close your email client if you want to get more work done.

Yes, shut it down.

That may not be a revelation for many of our loyal readers.  But to build my websites, I have to be able to focus!  I've been an email junkie for so many years, that it never dawned on me how much time I spend reading and replying to email.

That time is better spent working on projects that are going to:

1.  Help our customers
2.  Help our website visitors
3.  Grow our revenue

So this week, I've done a test.  I closed my Outlook 2000.  Yup.  I opened it and checked email only 3 times a day.  And I got more done this week than I can even tell you.

Stop reading, stop screwing around and wasting time.  If you want 2005 to be your best earnings year yet, shut down the email folks!
