Perl / CGI Formail Fixes

Hmmm....here I am, out of town, away from my home, on a short vacation, and I see that my compadre still hasn't posted his blog.....and he's the Perl expert!  Well, I came across this and just had to get it to you.....


If your web host provides you with Sendmail and other server based services, it is likely they are also providing you with Formmail.pl, which is a server based, VERY popular and widely utilized Perl / CGI email script.

As such, it is highly targeted by spammers and scammers.

I came across this site earlier today while waiting for room service to bring my breakfast.

They give you some great tips and advice and fixes.  Perhaps my partner Dave could comment a little further, as this is one of the areas of his expertise.

BTW, Dave, just to let you know, I met Bernhard Langer last night!  And we saw him and what appeared to be his daughters several other times in the lobby of our hotel. 

For our readers, my wife and I are taking a long weekend to catch the Buick Invitational at Torrey Pines, (San Diego) Ca.  I thought Dave might enjoy that I got to meet the Captain of the winning Euro Ryder Cup Team from last year.  What a great guy he is.  Very friendly too (Bernhard).  But my gosh, he's a rather short fellow....I'd guess perhaps 5'7" maybe...like Sergio Garcia size perhaps.

Anyway, having a great time.  Enjoy building your website!  I'll be back at it hard next week!
