Do you ever wonder how search engines work? Have a look under the covers.....
It's proven true that even though what people want in all walks of life are the benefits a product or service can afford them, understanding the mechanics of the products or service can be beneficial for both seller and buyer.
For example, people don't buy a 12 ounce piece of medium rare red cow meat. They buy a sizzling tender piece of angus beef that tastes good and is tender to chew.
In the search engine world, as a webmaster, you want your websites to show up in the top results for certain keywords. A person using a search engine is trying to locate information on a product or service.
But as a webmaster, understanding how search engines work is fundamentally key to building a great website that the search engines will like.
Here is a great paper on the mechanics of search engines.
Know that some or all portions of the concepts presented there are contained in every search engine.
Bank on it!
Have a great weekend!
