How many of you build a website without ever testing how it looks in different browsers or at different screen resolutions?
Are you really thinking of your visitors when you build your website?
Most webmasters don't. They do their thing merrily thinking the world uses only MS Internet Explorer.
Nope.
In case you haven't noticed, Mozilla's Firefox has, in under 4 months, stolen 25% browser market share from Microsoft.
Don't tell me the little guy can't win! Look at Google!
So with that Firefox bit of info, you should at least download it and use it in your testing before going live with a new webpage.
Even using Firefox and IE, you're still subject to the finnicky screen resolutions that your visitors have. Do you test your website using
these two browsers at different screen resolutions?
You should!
But the manual way is long gone.
Here is an awesome tool that allows you to automatically test your website at various screen resolutions
Using a tool like this does not absolve you of the responsibility of testing (for your visitor's sake!) your website in your own browsers at your own machine's screen resolutions.
But for a quick and dirty test, its a great one!
Go for it!
