Build A Website with a Blog

While Dave and I are using this blog as a supplemental tool to our main website, you can use a blog as THE website.  Why would you do that?
There are many reasons to consider using a blog platform as your content manager for your website.

First of all, once the blog software is setup, there is no further need to screw around with HTML nor all the hassles that come with HTML and Javascript.

You simply type, do a little linking and bingo - your content is live.

Secondly, blog systems perform awesomely to dish up your content to your visitors.  Most blogs are written in PHP and are very fast.  So your visitors get the content fast.

Third, blog software has a way of creating a massive quantity of pages.  For example, we're using Plog here.  We're hosting our plog blog at BAPort, which is one of our sister companies.  Dave and I are offering new customers a free setup of Plog, so you might want to factor that in too - now you don't even have to mess with the installation!

In the case of Plog, as with most blog platforms, it creates, at a minimum, 3 pages for each post you make.  So you write one article, tip or piece of advice and you've created 3 brand new pages for search engines to spider.

Blogs can also provide you with very nice designs, so your site can look good too.

Lastly, as content management tools, blog software allows you to create and manage links very easy.  Links are good, both inbound and outbound, to help you with search engine rankings.

So give a blog some thought and make your website from a blog platform!
